VW Kids Klub

Around here we say “a little dirt never hurts” and it’s important to pass that along to the next generation. The faces young gardeners make when looking at flowers, veggies, bugs and getting dirty, is exactly why we have a club dedicated just for them.

Our Kids Klub is a place where kids learn to care for themselves and other living things through garden and farm activities. Together we discover where food comes from, taste fresh vegetables & herbs, learn about tending to crops, collecting seeds, making compost, finding critters, getting dirty, and oh yeah, HAVING FUN!

SPRING BULB PLANTING

March 29th | 11am – 2pm

Create a gorgeous container with your choice of herbs with a garlic bulb or pansies with a dahlia bulb. Just as the herbs/pansies are spent, a beautiful bulb will begin to sprout!

EASTER

April 12th and 13th | 11am – 2pm

Annually hosted the weekend before Easter, join us for a meet and greet with the Easter bunny. Get beautiful photo ops among the colorful Easter bulbs and don’t forget to grab a bag of candy on your way out!

CARNIVOROUS PLANT WORKSHOP

June 14th | 11am – 2pm

Take home your very own carnivorous plant ecosystem – an exciting and educational kids’ event! Plant your Venus Fly Trap in a clear beaker with colorful moss. There are also some fun bug-related crafts/activities available.

Pumpkin Decorating/Painting

October 4th | 11am – 2pm

Get creative and decorate your own sugar pumpkin with paints, stickers, and more. You’ll have a blast playing pumpkin bowling!

Holiday Cookie Decorating

December 6th & 13th | 11am – 2pm

Don’t miss Kids Klub Cookie Decorating, hosted annually in December! Decorate two HUGE cookies with frosting and assorted candies and take a picture with Frosty the Snowman.
