What a handsome plant! This woody vine will captivate you with its deep green, heart shaped foliage, its great vigor for a semi-shaded area and its unforgettable flowers and their lacecap like appearance with small, lacy florets surrounded by clear pink, teardrop shaped sepals. ‘Roseum’ is long blooming from June through July and, for a vine, is a very neat, almost formal presence in the landscape. Like its close relative ‘Moonlight’, it can be an electrifying presence in your yard as long as you provide it with a strong support structure like a heavy wooden trellis, wooden fence or stone wall where it can grow and show off its unique foliage, form and bloom.
