Iris color always, in the past, has seemed so fleeting. Let’s face it, 10 days to 2 weeks of spring color is just not enough especially when you such spectacular color like ‘Orange Harvest’. Thank goodness an Iris like ‘Orange Harvest’ is among the growing ranks of this genus that reblooms. Sure, it will still give that massive flush of early June color with huge orange flowers with matching beards that will electrify any sunny garden but, after a summer of rest, as the weather cools in September, a smaller yet still significant rebloom of these big orange flowers will burst forth with their harvest moon color and their light yet seductive scent. Like all German Iris, ‘Orange Harvest’ is easy to grow in a sunny spot with sandy, well drained soil.
