‘Mist Maiden’ starts the season off with dark pink buds followed by single, long lasting flowers that start pink and slowly transition to pure white once they bloom in mid-May. The flowers arrange themselves in big, burly trusses that contrast beautifully with the dark green leaves that are backed with brown, fuzzy, indumentum that is soft to the touch. This compact shrub does well in partial shade and moist, well-drained soil and can brighten the woodland garden, perennial bed or rock garden because of its dense, low maintenance form.
