Some could measure in excess of 9 to 10″ wide, larger than any other mophead blooming type. Sometimes with a flower this large, the plant might only produce a handful during the season but not the case with Big Easy. It is a strong bloom producer and a rebloomer offering its massive wares on either old wood or new making it a garden must in northern areas. Its huge blooms expand and color up in late June or early July and will be a pleasing blue shade in our normally acid northeast soils or can be a stunning shade of pink in sweeter soils.
