Stiff, upright stems hold shiny, deep green, spear shaped leaves. Each stem loads up with buds that open in early summer to big, pink colored flowers with wide, yellow-orange throats. Easy to grow. Attractive foliage. Huge flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Perfect for grouping in the middle of a garden or for use in mixed containers. Wonderful cut flower! Thrives in partial sun but can tolerate full sun. Feed yearly with an organic fertilizer. Prune near ground level in late fall after a hard freeze.
