Flavocircinalis Hosta

Flavocircinalis Hosta

Perennial

If neatness counts that this Hosta is already getting high marks with a dense, tight, spreading form that keep any shade garden looking clean and orderly. While neatness does count for a lot in many gardens, it is not the only factor for adding a plant…it’s a good thing this Hosta offers far more than good form! Thick, corrugated, nearly round foliage is held nearly horizontal to better show off its cool blue-green center that is surrounded by a thick band of medium gold to chartreuse variegation making ‘Flavocircinalis’ super attractive as well as super neat. This selection is far wider that tall and is perfect for grouping more toward the front of any shade or partial sun garden. As an added bonus to great form and foliage color, ‘Flavocircinalis’ flowers on scapes that rise above the foliage in August with white blooms and a light scent all of which may bring a few local hummingbirds calling for a little nectar!
