This dense grower provides a brilliant summer show with lavender-pink towers of blooms from July through August. Best in a protected area in the north.

Blooming in early summer with dark purple flowers, this dense shrub form of crape myrtle fits in the landscape where taller crape myrtles do not. The new growth has a reddish tint and eventually matures to glossy green, setting off the rich purple flowers.

Its flowers have broad bands of cinnamon-purple with a white center and edge. Handsome bronze-red new growth. Stems are purplish-red on the side exposed to sun. Native shade loving plant. Substantial and attractive late spring bloom. Perfect as a specimen, along a foundation or for grouping along a shady border. Tolerates rough soil.

This plant is a garden stunner with deep purple color and and highly frilly foliage. This productive selection is very cold tolerant leading to a long harvest season from these robust plants. Great flavor that sweetens as the weather cools!

An absolute must for moist, sunny landscape areas and perfect for using around or in water features in the landscape, this Iris puts up with all the moisture and still provides a stunning show of flowers in the early summer months as sizable blue-violet flowers with white markings unfold above boldly veined sword-like foliage in late June. These flowers can further enliven the garden with the occasional hummingbird looking for nectar and by providing great cover for an assortment of colorful wetland creatures and colorful insects like dragonflies.

Deep plum-colored flowers have prominent black and gold etching in their centers. Excellent for borders, containers, and as a specimen for mass plantings. Makes a real statement as a cut flower.

This showy selection will make a unique impression with incredible contrasting color patterns. Its bloom sports wine-purple standards with light blue-purple styles paired with prominent white and yellow signals with purple veining starting in June. Stunning en masse! Easy to grow. Excellent massed in border plantings. Perfect for use in containers. Flowers are perfect for cutting.

Dark violet buds open to clear purple blooms that change to white, then gold in the center. A favorite of many gardeners. Tolerant of partial shade and moist soils. Blooms in July.

One of the first pseudatas to bloom! This tall plant will bring height to your garden with unique peach blend flowers that have deep purple veining. The standards have more deep purple coloring. Prominent yellow signal. From our trials, we have observed excellent vigor and healthy foliage compared to other Iris of its class. Pseudata Iris is a cross between Iris pseudocorus and Iris ensata (“pseudata” is a combination of both names) and we are pleased to finally be able to offer this unique type of Iris. ‘Rosalie Figge’ is a reblooming dark purple-violet flower with a white freckled throat, the edges are lightly ruffled and the entire flower sweetly scented. You will enjoy these beauties all season long with the main bloom in May as most bearded iris do but ‘Rosalie Figge’ will rebloom all the way into October. Well branched this is a keeper for the Iris collector or mixed into the perennial garden and looks especially fabulous planted in groups. Plant in full sun to partial shade in moist well-drained soil.
