A clematis with a distinctly different flower and flowering habit, which produces many blooms at one time.
Named in recognition of the great volunteer work that the Samaritans offer to people in distress. All volunteers are known as Samaritan Jo.
A stunning and rewarding plant for a garden location or for growing in a container for the deck garden, patio or outdoor dining area.
Launched at the 2013 famous Chelsea Flower Show from Raymond Evison’s exhibit with the daughter of the founder of the Samaritan organisation.
Launched at the 2014 Chelsea Flower Show and named after Lady Southgate, the wife of Sir Colin Southgate, a former Chairman of EMI, the famous record-label company. An extremely strong-growing and very free-flowering plant that can be used as a garden location plant or for growing in a container for the deck garden, patio or outdoor dining area. Normally pink-flowered clematis fade in strong sunlight but Sally holds its colour and is in fact a deeper colour when grown in strong sunshine. An excellent plant for growing with roses due to its multi-flowering habit.
Extremely hardy and extremely floriferous, ‘Markham’s Pink’ offers one of the best packages in the Clematis world with early season bloom on an easy care plant. ‘Markham’s Pink’ is one of the earliest, most vigorous Clematis to emerge. It seems like it’s always in a hurry early in the season to grow and bud, jumping into the springtime landscape fray with 3″ diameter, nodding, semi-double, deep pink flowers that start to bloom in late April and continue well into June followed by attractive, frilly seed heads in the summer. While it will tolerate light shade, ‘Markham’s Pink’ is a perfect fit for a fully sunny area and will proivide a show that is far earlier and far longer than most other Clematis you are familiar with. Give it a trellis or arbor for support and an even better looking flower show. Class 1.
Unlike some double-flowered Clematis, Josephine™ dependably produces full-petaled blooms all-season long. Its unusual blooms are creamy green and mauve to the outside, with a paler, pinkish mauve ruff in the center. Grow in good soil and keep the ground around the roots cool by shading it with other plants. Full sun gives the best color and most blooms. Asexual propagation prohibited.
Clematis Endellion ™ was launched at the 2015 Chelsea Flower Show and has been selected for its strong pink-coloured flowers, which are produced in great abundance. This new clematis is a great plant for growing up into roses at the base of an archway or a pergola and looks stunning with deep yellow or red roses. Also ideal for growing into free-standing or wall-trained shrubs or other climbers. A useful plant that flowers slightly later than the early large-flowered clematis for growing in a container, on the deck garden, patio or outdoor dining area.
Empress™ is sure to empress with its unique flowers that nearly cover the vigorous vine from Late spring into the fall. Most class 2 clematis take a break in the summer as the flowers formed on the old wood fade and the new wood buds are developing, not with Empress™, the bloom just keep coming and coming! A truly great introduction from Raymond Evison! Plant this charming Clematis in a sunny location where the roots can keep cool with plenty of mulch and some shade.
This darker version of ‘Bee’s Jubilee’ has large flowers that can reach up to 8″ across and it has the blooming power to produce more than just a few! Each beefy bloom is composed of deep rose-pink petals bearing a broad cherry bar and slightly ruffled edges. These large blooms are suitable as a cut flower and its attractive seed heads are a nice addition to a late spring or late summer bouquet because, like many of the large-flowered hybrids, this one blooms twice, first in May and June, and then again in September. ‘Dr. Ruppel’s’ compact yet aggressively growing vine makes it a great choice for large containers or to dress up a patio rail. No matter what, providing a trellis or some other strong support and mulching around its roots to keep them cool and happy will make ‘Dr. Ruppel’ perform like a champ! Pruning Class 2.
Clematis Alaina™ is a very showy plant that has large pink blossoms with darker pink midribs. They are deer resistant, low maintenance, and look amazing in containers. These plants grow well with average water, well-drained soil, and can tolerate full sun.
