Make your landscape memorable year round with this amazing broadleaf evergreen. ‘Katsura’ cloaks its dense, rounded form with wide, shiny, deep green foliage and each stem is topped with a string of buds in early spring. The buds open in April to reveal scented white Lily of the Valley bells infused with pink followed by a spectacular show of wine red color on emerging new foliage in May!

The much-loved obedient plant ‘Miss Manners’ has a new sister. ‘Pink Manners’ is a well-behaved, clump forming perennial that reaches 3’, just a bit bigger than her sister. Soft pink buds open to lavender pink blossoms that flower from midsummer to autumn, attracting countless hummingbirds and butterflies. The strong stems will never need staking and make fantastic cut flowers. It is an adaptable, easy to grow perennial for cottage gardens, wildflower gardens, native and prairie gardens. It will spread but not aggressively so. ‘Pink Manners’ was discovered by famed plantsman, Darrell Probst.

A selection of one of our native North American wildflowers. ‘Vivid’ flowers in vertical rows up the spikes and open sequentially from bottom to top created spikes of color that are beautiful in the mixed border or as cut flowers. Seed capsules are attractive and can be hung for dried flower arrangements. ‘Vivid’ is especially nice in mass planting to create a wave of colorful spikes as a colorful accent and as a cut flower. Prefers moist, well-drained soil. To keep clumps in-bounds, divide every 2 years in early spring.

This selection is a color machine with foliage that emerges red-orange then changes to deep purple followed by disks of deep pink buds that open in late May to colorful circles of pink flowers. Red to burgundy fall foliage as the weather cools.

Get ready for outstanding color on this easy to grow selection. Extremely cold hardy, it flushes with deep red foliage in spring and holds that color until fall when it deepens to dark purple. Circles of small, light pink flowers in May.

Highly fragrant, bright pink to purple flowers do not produce viable seed and bloom in late spring in clusters above the burgundy tinted foliage. Long blooming and attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Great choice as a groundcover or accent planting!

This selection takes on the form of a Creeping Phlox but with wider foliage and longer flower power as masses of pure pink bloom appear in mid to late April and bloom right into early June. Attracts butterflies. Drought resistant once established.

‘Fashionably Early Princess’ is a taller variety of Hybrid Phlox that’s unbeatable in the middle to back of a border with its impressive, refined habit. In addition to its early blooming, it has a long season of color. Light fuschia pink flowers with a darker pink eye bloom from early summer well into midsummer with some rebloom in fall. Narrow, dark green foliage stays beautiful all season.

Get your seasonal color started with this terrific spring groundcover that is tighter and more compact than other Creeping Phlox. Just because it is more compact, it does not skimp on the flower power with rosy pink flowers that absolutely cover this plant in early May. Drought tolerant to a fault, it is the perfect plant to group in a rock garden or to dress up a difficult sunny slope with style!
