(Semi-Dwarf) Sporting the deepest of dark red skin with pure white flesh, this pristine Apple performs extrememly well as a high quality dessert fruit very similar to ‘McIntosh’ except it is longer keeping. ‘Spartan’ is actually a cross between ‘McIntosh’ and ‘Newtown Pippen’ and was introduced in 1936 from Sommerland, BC so you know it has the ability to thrive in northern climes! A self-fruiting Apple, “Spartan’ does not need another variety for cross pollination but you can expect bigger crops if you plant it near ‘Lodi’ or another early blooming Apple. The fruit is crisp, juicy and highly aromatic and is a favorite for eating fresh off the tree although it is superb when used in sauces or baking. Resistance to scab, mildew and fireblight makes ‘Spartan’ an edible gardener’s dream Apple. Even better, it is as easy as any Apple to maintain, is heavy-bearing, beautifully decorative with its late April to early May bloom, and very winter hardy!

(Semi-Dwarf) Snapp™ Stayman is a bright red Apple with super crispy, yellow flesh that offers a flavor that can only be described as heavenly especially for those who like a tart Apple. Absolutely one of the best Apples for baking, ciders and sauce, this selection was discovered in the orchards of Alfred Snapp in Winchester, VA. Alfred was an experienced Apple grower and the color of this fruit caught his eye immediately. He found out that, not only was this fruit beautiful, but its quality was higher than many of the varieties he was growing all on a tree that was fantastically vigorous and productive. Snapp™ Stayman has sterile pollen so it does require another Apple planted nearby for cross pollination and it will not be a pollinizer for other Apples. Pairing it with another late harvesting Apple is perfect and will allow you to harvest these delicious Apples in mid October.

This Apple is prized for its sweet flavor, crisp, juicy flesh and its ability to keep for use long after harvest. Showy clouds of bloom emerge in early May with its deep red fruit maturing in early October. One of the most rapidly growing apples in popularity. Late maturing with sweet, crisp flesh and great flavor. Long keeping. Perfect fresh or for cooking, preserves and sauces.

(Semi-Dwarf) ‘Red Cameo’ is one of the best Apples for the backyard gardener, it’s just so few of them know what a great plant it is. It’s time to get educated about how easy it is to grow and the exceptional harvests it can offer…it really is one of the most exciting new Apple varieties to hit the industry in many years. Closely related to the very popular Cameo® Apple, ‘Red Cameo’ has brilliant, fully red, attractive color rather than the bi-color skinned Cameo®. Even better, it has crisp, juicy, sweet-tart flavor and outstanding storage quality, even in the refigerator, once picked. A midseason bloomer that needs another mid-season variety pollinator to set fruit, ‘Red Cameo’ is both a vigorous producer in the backyard and very hardy. It isn’t ready to pick until quite late in the fall, usually early October, so don’t rush to pick it before its time. ‘Red Cameo’ is excellent as a desert Apple or perfect for baking those Thanksgiving and holiday pies!

(Semi-Dwarf) ‘You’ll love ‘Lodi’ for its sweet-tart, smooth-skinned, green apple with crisp white flesh. Introduced in 1924 and developed in New York, this early summer Apple has been tested and proven to be a heavy producer that has a concentrated early ripening period so you can harvest these juicy fruits all at once, when they are light green/yelllow and about 3″ in diameter (mid to late July in Zone 5). What a vigorous tree, yielding an average of 10 bushels per tree and what a multi-purpose fruit! Inside, the white flesh is tender, soft and juicy. Because it is a tender Apple with pure white flesh, it makes a wonderful white applesauce. ‘Lodi’ Apples cook down very quickly, preserving more of the flavor and making them excellent for sauce, pies or cider. Of course, you could just enjoy them fresh right off the tree, too! Plant with other early blooming Apples such as ‘McIntosh’, ‘Spartan’, ‘Liberty’, ‘Yellow Delicious’, ‘Jonathon’ or ‘Cortland’ for the best fruit production and cross pollination

Semi-dwarf. As its name implies, ‘Liberty’ is extremely resistant to apple scab, cedar apple rust, and powdery mildew. Although developed from the McIntosh apple, the bright red fruit ripens late season, and have a crisp, somewhat tart flavor. Blooms mid-season.

One of the best cooking apples, Granny Smith has crisp, tart and juicy fruit with a good balance of acids and sugars. Medium-sized apples have pale to medium green skin with distinctive whitish dots. Requiring only 400 to 500 winter chill hours, and a longer season to ripen, this variety is favored in mild winter areas.

(Dwarf) ‘Garden Delicious’ is aptly named since its fruit is delightfully delicious and it will fit in nearly every garden space in the edible landscape. A genetic dwarf, this selection can even be pruned smaller if so desired. Handsome greenish-yellow fruit carries a red blush when ripe in early September. It’s a great looking fruit but, even better, its flavor is superb, sweet and crisp even in the hottest climates. It is excellent for fresh eating, cooking or preserving and, since it is such great keeper, you can harvest in September, store it in a cool dry place and you will have crisp, fresh Apples right up to Christmas! ‘Garden Delicious’ is also self-fruitful meaning that you don’t need another variety to cross pollinate. That along with its small stature and, of course, its outstanding, memorable taste, makes this an excellent selection for the gardener who dreams of a orchard but only has a small space.

Developed by Purdue University, Enterprise™ Apple is a beautiful deep red, uniform, and medium to large in size with excellent keeping qualities. Late-maturing, finishing approximately 3 weeks after ‘Delicious’ for an early October harvest. The super juicy flesh is creamy white to pale yellow in color. This semi-dwarf tree is vigorous and spreading, with excellent annual bearing habits.  Enterprise™ is highly resistant to fire blight and cedar apple rust.
