(Semi-Dwarf) Highly recommended for home orchards, this white-fleshed Nectarine has a flavor unlike any other with a unique sweet balance of sugar and acid that has scored very well in taste tests. Not only is the fruit of ‘Arctic-Glo’ memorable, so is its spring show with pretty pink flowers that nearly cover the branches in late April. ‘Arctic-Glo’ is self-pollinating and will produce a huge crop of ruby red skinned fruit that is ready for harvest in late July or early August without the benefit of another variety for pollination. Enjoy this semi-freestone fruit right off the tree but don’t be surprised if it becomes one of your favorites for other dessert uses whether its cooking or preserving. Plant this smaller growing tree in full sun and on higher ground to avoid those late blossom killing frosts.

Masses of large oval fruit ripen to a light orange with a light blush. Fruit ripen mid to late July featuring light orange flesh that is firm and moderately juicy.  It’s sweet taste is great for fresh eating, jams or baking.

This first thing you’ll notice is a much sweeter taste that the fruit of either of the parents…the cross pollination of the two fruits enhances the sugar content of the resulting fruit making it dreamily sweet and tasty.
