There is no Blueberry selection that is going to give you the fruit size that ‘Darrow’ brings to the table. This mid to late season selection can have up to half dollar sized fruit that matures from late July through August! Half dollar sized, deep blue, juicy berries…that will really make for some tasty Blueberry pancakes! You’d think that fruit that size would mean that it would bear far less productively than other Blueberries but that is not the case as ‘Darrow’ is a heavy bearer of heavy duty fruit! While its fruit is remarkable, so is this plant’s ability to light up the landscape year round with brilliant yellow to red winter stems, a substantial display or white, fragrant, bell shaped flowers in May, superior garden form throughout the year and brilliant red to scarlet fall foliage color that is a sight to behold!
