‘Sun Valley’ is a cross between ‘Red Sunset’ and ‘Autumn Flame’ and was selected by the US Arboretum for its beautiful red fall color. This is a  male selection meaning it has the pretty red flowers in spring and none of the “helicopter” fruits in the summer. Medium green leaves are about 4″ in diameter and are not bothered by any pests or diseases. It does show resistance to leaf hopper damage. Outstanding symetical form forms an ovate crown making quite a handsome shade tree for any back yard or park setting.
