Bourbon™ Clematis boasts red and purple flowers reaching up to 5″ wide. It blooms on both new and old growth so it loads up on color both in late spring and late summer. A great choice for containers or smaller spaces as it is has a twining and compact habit . This is a relatively low maintenance vine. It is a Type 2 clematis, prune it back every second or third year to just above a set of buds about 6-8 inches from the ground to allow it to rejuvenate.
